Nonsense! Well traditional birthdays are like spending it with your family [usually having a dinner at some fancy restaurant with some degree of class serving food that looks tasty which tempt you to order and eat them because they look nice but it doesn't actually taste that nice which makes ya'll look (well at least feel) like an idiot], getting a red packet [with kinda lot money stuffed inside so that you can add a few more volume of porn dvds into your collection], and hanging out with friends [who may smoke cigarette (in front) but actually play with drugs like K powder, ecstasy pills, triangle etc]. Such "cultures" (haha ;D) have been instilled into us all the way from birth, but not till death. There's some invisible string attached. Kiki....
When you're alone, far away from home, who is there to celebrate with you? Well you can always go back to your hometown to meet up with family and friends to have a decent dinner. That is a scenario when you live near. What is he's someone who needs to ride an aeroplane for a few hours (few hundred bucks baby) to do that, but his arse is broke? Haha, then you're farking alone, stucked. Well i guess dedicating Landy's song "Happy birthday to myself" isn't that optimistic. Luckily, in life there's always something new. The subject we're going to talk about today is "new" friends.
The word "friend". How high or how low that word may go in life, it's yours to see. What you perceive may not always be true, but i can guarantee you no matter what kind of person you are the word "friend" definitely takes up a large portion of your life especially when you're in need of acknowlegdement and support and also when you're lonely to people who don't have much friends and activities(lol). Hmm.. let me see, from personal experience the 1st time i celebrated birthday was during my 1st year 1st semester. I did celebrate in my hometown but this party was unexpected. Our class just had a gathering. Had barbeque and stuff going on. Had our very own musician Thomas to play the guitar. Lots of fun there. After eating there was a cake. It was actually to serve another purpose but in conjunctioned with my birthday and my new buddy from Sabah Ahfuh's birthday. Kinda touching...
Just a few days ago, 2 of my buddies, Yit Lim and AhFuh had their birthdays repectively on 7th and 8th of June. Sadly, Yit Lim went back to his hometown Ipoh(mali) to celebrate it with his family. Well the other guy stayed here so we(me and my housemates) decided to throw in a suprise birthday party. It didn't got him by 100% but nonetheless it kinda touched him. Alot of our friends went back to their hometown. Only 6 of us (me, Baby Hung, Wawa, Ling, Fayfay) were in the party but it was just as nice. Haha, too much cook, spoilt the soup. Not to miss some oldschool actions by Baby Hung, playing with cream and cakes and made the party happening. We even got it in a video. And urm... had some beer and champagne! Cheers! That's only few of my experiences here in Kay El, to share around to remind you all how important it is not to be an idiot during your birthday and in your life. Celebrate yours well and celebrate others' too. Treat someone the way you would like others to treat you back. Care for the unfortunate and unlucky ones. A small deed may do a big help. And appreciate friendship. Applying this to another concept, do not lose faith and hope when things a farked up ;D
Well damm sure Im not unlucky and unfortunate because every farking year, one person who will never forget my stupid birthday is my DAD!!! T.T papa i love u... Kiki...
